Day 12- Declutter your Decor
Welcome to day 12 of The 30 Day SImplify Your Life Challenge, today I am decluttering my decor. For some people, this challenge will be more difficult than for others. Decor can sometimes be sentimental to us. And some of us have a lot of it.
My Guiding questions for today are:
Do I love it?
Does it suit my style?
Is it damaged?
Does it spark joy?
During this part of the challenge, I got rid of a lot of decor Items. I pulled them all out of their space, off the walls and shelves, and window sill, and put them on my floor.
I ended up getting rid of all of my horses except for two which my grandmother gave me. I got rid of some mismatched picture frames that had been bothering me, a horse halter I had hanging on my wall, and my two pride flags which had seen their day and were damaged.
I kept a few things that are more sentimental to me, like my grandmother’s horses and my great-grandmothers snowglobe, also a painting that my best friend made me for my 16th birthday. My room feels a lot less cluttered now, and we are almost at the end of the physical decluttering section of the challenge, just a few more days!
Tomorrow’s challenge is decluttering linen, so please check in for that!
And if you are doing the challenge as well tell me how it is going for you in the comments below!
