Day 5- Declutter Your Stationery Supplies
Welcome to day 5 of The 30 Day Simplify Your Life Challenge, today I am decluttering my stationery supplies. This includes things such as pens and pencils, markers, erasers, tape, tacks, elastics, post-it notes, rulers and more. Basically school and office supplies.
My Guiding questions for today are:
Do I use this?
When was the last time I used this?
Does it work?
Do I like using it?
I had a lot of stationary to go through today. I had everything in my desk drawer, my pencil case, and in my art container. I tested out all of the writing and drawing utensils to see if they worked and if I liked them. I get rid of a few pens and moved the remaining ones from my desk into my pencil case. I was also able to get rid of some ribbon I never used by giving it to a friend I knew would enjoy it. By the time I was done going through my art container I had no use for it anymore, and the container made it to my donation pile.
While going through my desk I was surprised to find an old memory card and I couldn’t remember what was on it. I put it on my computer and figured out it had all of the photos from my first camera on it! I was very happy to find it. That is that great part about decluttering, often we find things we weren’t even looking for in unexpected places.
Tomorrow’s challenge is decluttering your electronics, so please check in for that!
And if you are doing the challenge as well tell me how it is going for you in the comments below!
